I'm happy.
I need to dwell on this for a minute. I am happy.

The little ditty in my head

Miss Me When I'm Gone
Mainers Mountaineers
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
I know you will miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me by my walk
You’re gonna miss me by my talk
I know you will miss me when I’m gone

When I’m gone (when I’m gone)
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone

You’re gonna miss me prayer
You’re gonna miss me everywhere
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me by my song
You’re gonna miss me all day long
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone

When I’m gone (when I’m gone)
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone

You’re gonna miss me by my way,
You’re gonna miss me everyday
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me by my song
You’re gonna miss me all day long
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone

When I’m gone (when I’m gone)
Oh I know you will miss me when I’m gone

Spring Break 2013---Part One

“The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”

Chapter 20

Oh, Abigail Crain. Being shunned, tornados, breakups, terrible jobs, horrible summers, celebratory evenings, more breakups, more celebratory evenings, and things that can't be written about. In a couple of weeks, I'll waltz into my 21st year of life with you as my dance partner.
Thanks for being my compadre, Bobbigail.

"I have perceiv'd that to be with those I like is enough, To stop in company with the rest at evening is enough, To be surrounded by beautiful, curious, breathing, laughing flesh is enough, To pass among them or touch any one, or rest my arm ever so lightly round his or her neck for a moment, what is this then? I do not ask any more delight, I swim in it as in a sea. There is something in staying close to men and women and looking on them, and in the contact and odor of them, that pleases the soul well, All things please the soul, but these please the soul well."
-Walt Whitman

“I felt wise and cynical as all hell.” - Sylvia Plath

When you stop doing things for fun, you might as well be dead. - Ernest Hemingway

A tea party with a hawk and a lobster.

National Geographic
August 1938

Life is weird sometimes. Really weird.
A tea party with a hawk and a lobster seems pretty okay, though.
