"It's pronounced 'weekman'".

I know that I don't know all of the people in the world and I know that I never will. I know that there are some stellar individuals out there and I hope that they are loved. I know that it's special when you find someone who is delighted by you. I know that chivalry is alive and well. I know that the place that performs maintenance on my car is closed on Saturdays. I know that flashmobs make me nervous and I know that I love muted colors. I know that the quote "we accept the love we think we deserve" is true. I know now that in the past I was settling. I know basic mathematics and I know that I will never need to find the sine and cosine of anything in my future as an Art Therapist. I know that snap pea crisps are little crunchy snack samples of what is in Heaven's pantry. I know what "firmware" is and I know that it will keep your apps from updating. I know that ten months ago, someone thought that I was different and beautiful. I know that ten months ago, he pursued me and I know that I am glad that he did.

I know Trey Weichman.
I know that he snuck into Harry Potter movie premiers by posing as a photographer. I know that he hates onions. I know that he loves pumpkin pie.

I know that I am on cloud nine.

Summer 2013 has been pretty great so far. I have more free time than I know what to do with and it's a little overwhelming. I literally don't have anything that I NEED to do. I don't understand how this happened. But, I am able to fill up all of this free time with things that I want to do. Such as, playing bakery and ice cream parlor with my 4 year old niece. (That metal bucket is filled with macaroni and cheese. Just so everyone knows. We run a nonconformist bakery.)

Of course, every year around this time I start dreaming of fall days.
Today I painted and pretended it was October.

Things to look forward to:
1. Seeing Miss. Hope Garner this weekend.
2. Visiting my grandparents on Sunday.
3. Visiting Miss. Tess Davis in Tuscaloosa next week.
4. Taking a trip with Mr. Weichman next weekend. He won't tell me where we're going.
5. 4th of July.
6. Mr. Weichman's 22nd birthday.
7. A trip to New York City for Miss. Abigail Crain? *fingers crossed*
8. Back to school.
8 1/2. School supplies shopping.
9. Halloween.
10. Thanksgiving.
11. Christmas.

Zou bisou bisou

Happy 21st birthday, my flower! Thank you for answering all of my medical questions and for amusing me with horrific tales of things that I'd never want to experience firsthand. Thank you for always making me feel appreciated and encouraged. Thank you for your support and for your patience.
Thank you for never making me feel bad about how much fast food I eat or for how many fruit cups I go through in a day. Thank you for agreeing with me on white appliances, white cars, white iphones and John Corbett.  Thank you for being you, Tess Davis. Your quirks thrill me.

Mindy Kaling and I wish you the happiest of birthdays.

Drink up!!

This is so special.

This weekend I was able to watch two outstanding people tie the knot in a beautiful vineyard. Just in the little time that I've known the two of them, I've been able to see that they have the most wonderful hearts. I'm thankful for them and the work that they have done in the lives of their friends and I am thankful for the work that they will do in the future. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kendrick!

Then, we boogied the night away and lived happily ever after.

Oh, Alabama...

My thoughts as I took this picture:
How I love you and your beautiful sunsets. I love your abundance of front porches and sweet tea.
I love that catfish and pies are easy to find. I don't really mind the thick southern accents.

But, nothing gold can stay.

Right after taking this picture... a tall, tan, lanky teen sat down with his potbellied gal in a t-shirt that was much too tight and the silhouette was complete. After fishing in silence for a minute, he grabbed her face and gave her one of those passionate and forceful kisses that are seen in black and white movies after a woman in heels throws down her scarf and runs to her lover. I looked away to give them privacy and looked back as the kiss was ending. It was a marvelous moment. Until, the tan fellow in his John Deere cap hocked up what must have been the world's largest mass of phlegm and spat it out beside his tackle box- all while holding his gal in his arms.

Sigh... Alabama.

I want to put on my, my, my, my, my boogie shoes just to boogie with you.

This summer is off to a strange start since don't have a job or any major responsibilities. I'm not used to this! So much freedom! That being said, I had the freedom to designate May as the month where I do nothing at all. Over the course of June, July and August I plan to get quite a bit done including paying a visit to Miss. Abbey in New York. But.. I'm perfectly happy with the way I have spent my month of May. A job would be nice, though.

On another note... the zoo. Trey has been working as a production assistant for a movie being filmed in Birmingham and I had no idea just how wild those jobs are! Such long hours and so much Perrier! When I envisioned my day while driving down to Birmingham..I never expected for the day to go the way it did. So many surprises! I fed a flamingo! I saw rogue rhinoceroses! I kind of met a celebrity! I fell in love with lemurs! So much more. The day of surprises ended with watching planes land and then slinking out of getting scolded by a silly cop. Zoos and aquariums make me full. This month has been pretty unbeatable and after a long semester, I am revived and I am full. June will be here soon and I can't wait to see what is in store!
