You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how. -Gone with the Wind

Last night I went to The Melting Pot and ate like royalty.  Light, soft bread with a delicious blend of cheeses. Followed by a crisp salad and succulent lobster, shrimp, steak, chicken, and duck. To top it all off: white chocolate fondu flambeed and served with strawberries, poundcake, brownies, cheesecake, bananas, and marshmallows for dipping.

I spent today gathering the things I needed to make another collage, cleaning my room, and drinking various warm drinks and eating anything I could on my new octopus dishes.

The rest of my weekend will consist of camping and then spending my off day with my grandparents!
This week, I will be making more string lanterns, searching for picture frames, and making a collage.

Have a great week, readers!

You should come back home, back on your own now.

I saw more red birds and blue birds today than I have in my entire life.

Heaven is blessed with perfect rest but the blessing of earth is toil. ~Henry van Dyke

My summer job:
Working at Occidental Chemical as a painter surrounded by middle aged men and my dad. The upside is that it is giving me more respect for my dad and bringing us closer…also, a paycheck is nice. The downside is that waking up at 5:30 Monday through Friday takes its toll on you.

I have found out a few things about myself from this job:
1. I still get embarrassed easily.
2. I am good at analyzing colors.
3. I thoroughly enjoy manual labor.

I'm sure I'll learn much much more about myself and I'm looking forward to it!

School is over and for the first time in nine months, I got to spend time with my very best friend at home-just like old times. No school, no catch up sessions that always seemed to take up the entire day, no three hour long car rides to and away from each other, just everything the way it used to be. An Adventure Day. The kind of day that we had so many of before August of 2010. The kind of day that made people think we were obsessed with each other. All I know is that I got to spend the entire day with the one person who is able to make me laugh just by lifting a finger and using it to wave at me. The one person who can make my mood do a complete 360 just by using a strange accent or by dragging out certain words in his sentences. After being together almost three years and being away from each other for nine months with the exception of a few rendezvous and a few weeks of Christmas break, everything was exactly like it had always been. Nothing had changed. Hugs were the same, our jokes were the same, everything felt the same, and it was perfect.  Ukulele lessons, picnics, private concerts, private conversations...it was all complete perfection.

Oh, if you're a bird, be an early bird
And catch the worm for your breakfast plate.
If you're a bird, be an early early bird-
But if you're a worm, sleep late.
-Shel Silverstein

Tonight, I made this. After a day filled with frustrations and petty annoyances...something turned out just the way I envisioned and I am thankful for that.

I am for people. I can't help it. -Charlie Chaplin

I've been following a lot of different blogs for a while and contemplating getting one of my own. As you can see, I finally decided to.  My plan is to use this blog to share the things that inspire me, and anything  else in my life that I feel like sharing.  This blog will not be a diary. I don't really think that MY life is exciting enough for someone to actually want to hear every single detail of my day to day activities.  So, here we go.
